Our beautiful Hotel has been completely refurnished in 2003. The three-star hotel with car park consists of 18 rooms and a separate lounge room. The restaurant offers a delicious Mediterranean kitchen. The wide range of possibilities and our service quality will make your holiday unforgettable. We look forward to welcoming you!


We have beautiful and bright rooms. You can choose between double rooms and triple rooms. Either with bath and toilet included or on the corridor.


Breakfast Buffet is available from 7:30 AM to 10 AM. The restaurant is losed for lunch Dinner is served from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. Half board is available at our hotel. We offer a Mediterranean and Swiss kitchen. If you wish to have half board, kindly mention in guest comments.

By Train: Get off at the train stop Locarno. If you let us know in advance, we will arrange a complimentary pick up at the train station. ( from the train station it takes approx. 10 minutes to arrive at the Hotel Alexandra) By Plane: Airport Lugano - mostly for domestic flights / approx. 40 minutes Airport Milano Milpensa - international flights / approx. 1 hour 45 minutes Airport Zürich - international flights / approx. 2 hours 45 minutes By Car: If you arrive from direction Bellinzona - before you arrive in Locarno there is an exit direction Minusio/Muralto. Take this exit and follow the directions Locarno. You will see our hotel on your right side.


The hotel Alexandra looks like a beautiful typical antic villa. You will enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere during your stay in Locarno also thanks to our wonderful and helpful staff. Hotel Alexandra is located near the centre, the railway station and the landing stage. From that central position it is easy to reach Ticino’s sights.


Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged CHF 15.00 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged CHF 30.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is included. Internet: Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and costs CHF 1.50 per hour. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Private parking is possible on site and costs CHF 7.00 per day. Pets: Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.
