Lucerne is situated on the most important route between north and south and therefore can be easily reached. Direct fast trains link Lucerne to the international airports in Zurich (65 km/ 40 miles) and Geneva (250 km/ 155 miles)
From Zurich/Basel/Berne:
- Take the highway exit "Luzern-Zentrum" in the direction of "Allmend, Kriens" (take the right lane at the exit)
- Pass 4 traffic lights, then take the left lane, and turn left into the first street (Moosstrasse, corner "Copy Quick").
- Drive straight on until the roundabout at Bundesplatz.
- Cross this roundabout and park in the public car park right behind it.
- The hotel is right there - at the desk you will get information about parking.
From the Gotthard/Italy:
- Take the highway exit "Luzern-Süd" and turn right at the traffic lights in the direction of "Luzern-See".
- Stay in the right lane.
- Turn right at the third following traffic light in the direction of "Verkehrshaus, Küssnacht".
- Drive straight on until the roundabout at Bundesplatz.
- Cross this roundabout and park on the public car park right behind it.
- The hotel is right there - at the desk you will get information about parking.
Walking directions from the train station to the Cascada Hotel
- After leaving the train, take a left to the exit "Zentralstrasse" (or the subway "Zentralstrasse" towards the end of the platform)
- Follow this street along the railway tracks until its end, where you see "Capitol" in big letters on the top of a building.
- At the corner "Zentralstrasse" and "Bundesplatz" turn right and the hotel will be right in front of you.
The Cascada hotel is a modern four star business, convention and tourist hotel in the hearth of the city of Lucerne. It is located only few minutes walking distance from the Congress and Culture Center (KKL), railway station and harbour from where historical steam vessels will take you on a scenic tour around the Lake of Lucerne.
Each room contains a wall painting representing one of hundreds swiss alpine waterfalls. All rooms are non-smoking and have air conditioning and wireless LAN. Free Internet access is available in the lounge.
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.

All older children or adults are charged CHF 70.00 per night and person for extra beds.
